K-POP Performance
On July 5 and 21, popular K-pop idols will gather in Yeosu. On July 14, the audience can join in the taping of "You & I," a popular music program on SBS hosted by Jeong Jae-hyeong & Lee Hyo-ri.
Ensemble Ditto ‘White Night’
Ditto Ensemble will create a strong and mysterious image through a wonderful performance, created by Kim Han (clarinet), a prodigy in the classical world, Ham Kyeong (oboe) and Daniel Chung (violin). At the Tent Theater on July 6.
A Girl of the Sea
This musical contains a story of Yeosu with the sea as its backdrop and is acted by 70 performers. The only creative musical presented at the Expo, “A Girl of the Sea” is a masterpiece of director Park, Geun-hyeong who directed a water performance for the first time in Korea. The musical will be performed at the Floating Stage for total 42 times at 7:30 pm.
Lecture of photographer, Bae Byeong-wu
A special lecture of Bae Byeong-wu, well known as ‘Photographer of Pine tree’. As his home town is Yeosu, his photo collections mainly contain the coastal waters of the southern coast and scenery of island villages. He will introduce beautiful Korean sea photos and teach basic photographing technique as well. This event will be held at the Conference Hall of the International Pavilion C on July 16. Any person who wishes to join in the lecture will be welcomed.
Action Drawing Yeosu
As a main performance in July & August, this event is a drawing feast that vividly embodies exclusive characteristics of Yeosu Expo including fantastic underwater scenery being drawn on the surface of water, speed drawing, glow-in-the-dark drawing, battle drawing, magic cube, etc.
American Cultural Event
An event relevant to the U.S. is taken place at Yeosu as well matching with Independence Day of the U.S.A on July 4. Performances by the marching band of the U.S.A., western band, and ‘Crocodile Ross’, an a cappella band. Performance of Crocodile Ross is to be performed at 3 p.m. and country western band at 6 p.m., respectively.
