The theme of the SK Telecom Pavilion is “we_cloud,” under which the company presents various engaging, exciting and impressive exhibits that highlight the ways its advanced technologies have benefited, and will continue to benefit, humankind. This pavilion pays special attention to the smart phone – the device that, by virtue of removing previous communication barriers, has become such a fixture in our everyday lives, giving us greater convenience. Indeed, this is the era of the smart phone, and SK Telecom helps us to imagine what our lives will be like when the smart phone becomes even smarter!

Here you can experience a future living space equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. There is also a medical checkup service that gives visitors the opportunity to receive a medical checkup, get the results, and receive tailored services on the spot. Be sure to check out how you can monitor security, and control and manage your car through a smart phone application. You can also experience safe driving technologies – in a real car – on this floor, as well as the wonderful conveniences of mobile commerce. Tablet PCs are available for visitors to use as well.

The multi-disciplinary data visualization studio “randomwalks” created a fantastic media artwork for the second floor of the SK Telecom Pavilion, visualizing data flow in dynamic movements. Mobile technologies are applied prominently in the artworks of Lee Lee-nam, Han Kye-ryoon and Choi Jong-hee to create a new type of art.

3F(Mobile Meets Images)

Screened here are the award-winning films of a smart phone movie contest held by SK Telecom, as well as renowned film director Lee Jun-ik’s music video for “Beautiful Scape,” a song by legendary Korean rock guitarist Shin Jung-hyeon. This music video showcases Korea’s lovely natural environment and was made with the participation of 1,000 citizens.
