The best way to enjoy the Marine Industry & Technology Pavilion
The objective of the Marine Industry & Technology Pavilion is to suggest methods to overcome various problems of humankind towards the realization of sustainability. The pavilion introduces diverse future technologies through 3D mapping images, 4D effects and performances. Visitors also have the opportunity to see vehicles created using diverse marine industry technologies such as the future eco-friendly cars made of high-impact plastic made from algae, and learn about how the microalgae-based CO2 elimination system works.

Meeting between the Ocean and Humankind Lobby

Meeting between the Ocean and Humankind Lobby
The entrance to the exhibitions of the Marine Industry & Technology Pavilion resembles the shape of a submarine hatch. The seawater that flows through the pipelines installed on the wall is a symbol of the infinite ocean, the continuous activities and research in the marine industry and in marine science and technology, and humankind’s ceaseless desire for advancement into the ocean. The focal point here is “Connection” between marine technology and humankind; land and sea; and human beings, the ocean and the Earth.

Depletion of Land-based Resources Theater

Depletion of Land-based Resources Theater
The Theater raises issues on the ecological crises and land resource exhaustion that threaten our survival, and the necessity of human advancement into the ocean. Three projection screens show images of shortages in water and food resources, energy resources, and land space. The focus here gradually shifts from land to ocean, where solutions to our exhausted land resources can be found. Don’t miss out on the 10-meterhigh measuring device that shows the ocean’s depth.

Innovations for the New Marine Era Performance Hall
The main show of the Marine Industry & Technology Pavilion is the marine science and technology performance by Aranic held in the “Marine Industry & Technology Research Center.” Aranic is a marine science and technology researcher and performance artist who created new and innovative applications for diverse marine resources. His performance conveys the message of harmonious coexistence of humans and nature through marine plants, which have hidden properties that can support human life and guarantee a more stable future.

Truths about Marine Science Exhibition Hall

Truths about Marine Science Exhibition Hall
The final stop for visitors to the Marine Industry & Technology Pavilion, this exhibition space transforms the advanced technologies presented virtually in the Main Zone into reality. Showcased here is the CO2 elimination technology which uses microalgae – single-celled organisms that inhabit soil, seawater, fresh water and Antarctic ice. In this system, microalgae is grown using the CO2 emitted from automobiles, thus eliminating CO2. The bio diesel, pharmaceutical materials, and functional health food products created through this system are exhibited here as well.
